* Oracle with the Lone Strider archetype (increased mobility) and the Life mystery (good healing). For my other playthroughs, I'm thinking something like this: On the other hand, this build is not likely going to be my first playthrough (and there's no guarantee I'll like the game enough to replay it, seeing as I actually didn't like the Baldur's Gate series). * Can wands trigger Sneaky Quack? If so, that means simply having a good UMD, Reuse Magic Device, and a healing wand (even if it's just Cure Light Wounds) should work. * Sylvan Trickster gets sneak attack and the witch's hex, which includes Healing and Greater Healing. * Sanctified Slayer, an Inquisitor archetype, gets sneak attack and healing magic. (Witch spell list, and can still go Arcane Trickster.) Haven't played it yet (the only computer I have that the game runs on is a laptop, and it's awkward to have to use the mouse on a system where the "mouse' is really a trackpad), but I've still been thinking about it.Īlso, I've thought of other ideas, after looking at the classes: Have you played or tested any of this yet? Curious where your thoughts went with it after a couple days. Just read this post and thought it was an awesome idea! Was disappointed to see the lack of responses. So any thoughts? Anything that doesn't actually work in-game? Any other ideas for things I could insert into this build? Hi dtgreene! I find this to be a rather interesting and unusual mechanic, and I'm wondering how one would optimize a character to take advantage of this. So any thoughts? Anything that doesn't actually work in-game? Any other ideas for things I could insert into this build?ĭtgreene: Just looking at the list of abilities in this game, and I noticed that, if you go down the Trickster Mythic Path, you get an ability called Sneaky Quack, which allows for sneak attack dice to be added to healing. * Of course, other abilities to take advantage of sneak attack damage, like feats to improve rays, and perhaps Reach Spell and/or Boundless Healing (can Sneaky Quack work at range this way?). (Does Sneaky Quack work with wands?) Can also get Use Magic Device 3 to also get access to the entire wizard spell list, if I understand it correctly, which means this character has 3 spell lists available eventually (don't forget the Trickster path's mythic spell list.). * After taking the mythic path, can choose Reuse Magic Device when it becomes available. (Can you use Nature Mage to qualify? For the tabletop version of Arcane Trickster, this wouldn't work because this archetype doesn't get mage hand.) (Advances both sneak attack and arcane spellcasting. (Gives Druid spells, but with Int and as arcane spells in particular, this includes the Cure Wounds spells and Heal.) I'm thinking along the lines of something like this: Just looking at the list of abilities in this game, and I noticed that, if you go down the Trickster Mythic Path, you get an ability called Sneaky Quack, which allows for sneak attack dice to be added to healing.
